Sent wrong item on ebay, can I stop RM from delivering it?

    Hey Hexites,

Basically I sent the wrong package to a buyer via First Class Recorded delivery today at 4pm today and only just realised now. Is there anyway I can contact Royal Mail and tell them to ship it back to me somehow?

    Thanks!

    EDIT: Please close.

Doubt it, they're not going to check the entire system to find your mail & recorded is only signed for on delivery so isn't tracked.

Guess you need to ask the buyer to return it, by your post I assume it's more expensive than what they bought? Maybe offer them a litle incentive to not open it & return straight away?

Re: Sent wrong item on ebay, can I stop RM from delivering it?

Ah guess I gotta depend on the buyer then. I sent them my old 4GB DDR3 RAM instead of the 4GB DDR2 RAM they ordered... I tend to package things before I actually send them but I do label it myself so I'm not sure how I managed to do something stupid like this. I've offered the the first buyer a 10% refund as well as a refund on the price of the stamp of sending back the item as well as sending their RAM via Next Day Delivery so hopefully they do read my email.

I guess it's the best I can do. I've also offered the same to the buyer of the other RAM though. (Next Day delivery on their RAM as soon as I get it back and a 10% refund or they can choose a 100% full refund on their RAM if they don't want to wait)

Well you can hope there motherboard won't support DDR3 and then they will be at a loss if they don't send it back, otherwise all you need to do is send postage in the envelope you are sending them to pay for them to send the ram back, obviously wait for them to send your ram back first

Just ask them to post the items to each other. Pay £5 to each of them.
