    Strange Request

    Hi Guys,

Am a very old reader that has recently rejoined!

I actually used to work on the returns desk at scan many a moon ago!

Hexus was always a great place and i have returned in a time a need!

Today i have had to have my dear Labrador put down, all the family are gutted. The only photo i have is a poor camera phone snap.

Does anybody know how or even if it is possible to get rid of the distortion and make it printable?

    Many thanks

    Re: Strange Request

Best bet is to upload it on here and see what everyone can do with it, I know the Bit-Tech forums used to have a huge photography area and I'm sure there are people on here that use the software for their own uses, I used to do it a lot with the Adobe program (can't remember the name though).

    Re: Strange Request

Sorry to hear it, had a labrador who had to be put down earlier in the year, she had really bad liver problems and ended up having fits as a result of the medicine (but she was a stunty working breed lab so didn't get the arthritis many do)

Its amazing how attached you get to dogs/cats. You just dont realise how much of the family they become.I also realised i may have become a little girl as i was actually crying! Dont think i have done that in a good 15 years!

Very understandable, I've been in the same situation myself.
As you've probably seen, many of the HEXUS members are enormous pet lovers and very attached to the furballs.

Would make an attempt at trying to spruce up your picture for you but sadly my other computer isn't working at the moment. Hopefully someone will come along and do a better job than I would have anyway

    Re: Strange Request

It's not a great starting pic in terms of quality so my edit ended up a bit like those pics you do by applying a paint filter

Sorry for your loss, woofers manage to wriggle their way into your heart everytime

I think Bobster is the best one for this kind of thing, seeing some of his previous stuff, it's a very rough job though.

They do! We had 2 labs going back 10 years ago, we had those for 15 years and it broke our heart when we lost those. Sworn we'd never get another dog.

Anyway we got in touch with the Labrador rescure and saw Penny, couldnt resist and took her home, that was 9 years ago, and as much as it hurts not having her here now, i wouldnt have changed my mind getting her. The last 9 years she has been fantastic. Great with kids and always happy to see me, when it felt like the world was on my back no matter what she was always jumping up and down whenever i came into the room.

    Re: Strange Request

Anumals are fantastic at changing your mood and lifitng your spirits when your down in the dumps. I've never owned a dog (am a cat owner) and when my siamese went missing for two days it was like a part of the family was missing.

It's good to cry and let it all out, its always distressing when you loose a pet, no matter how long they've been with you.
