    Police Helicopters buzzing around...

...and it's unusual, given I'm at uni in Norwich, and that is part of Norfolk, where nothing remotely interesting happens.

It's been circling for the last half hour or so, low level, haven't seen any blues and twos running about/any sirens.

So, what do we think it is all about?

(Edit: I did originally type that in capitals to make it look like a tabloid headline, but the forum "corrected" it for me )

Maybe there has been no blues and twos etc.. because they don't want you to know they're coming.

    Re: Police Helicopters buzzing around...

Apparently this means they're looking for a child or other vulnerable person. 9 times out of 10, they're hiding in some bushes etc nearby and the helicopter can check them a lot faster than a guy with a torch obviously. Sirens stay off after the initial response, because if the child thinks they're in trouble they're less likely to come out/home of their own accord.

Well that was the reason when something similar happened around here. Kid was fine, found hiding in a bush in a local park asleep.

EDIT: Cannabis detection is done via vans with the thermal imaging cameras more often now. The chopper can do it from high altitude so wouldn't be hovering low.

Quoted for truth - on so many different levels.

Lego Batman - you've obviously experienced Norwich's supposedly ubiquitous WiFi system, and Tonka for sheer timing

its part of an ongoing initiative to find out why more and more children in Norfolk are being born with 5 toes on each foot...

locals are worried that outsiders may be infiltrating their community
