I had to vote for Daniel Craig as my wife is a relation of his (a very distant one though so I can't get any freebies ).

3 measures of Gordon's Gin, 1 of Vodka, 1/2 a measure of Kina Lillet, which is not Vermouth. Shaken well until it's ice cold. Then served with a large thin slice of lemon peel

DC for me; A more realistic bond.

No freebies, no vote . A good choice though.

Fair enough. Although the realism in the Bond character comes from audience demand as times change imho. The early Bond films had an epic feel with unforgettable soundtracks; audiences were more happy with the escapism than nowadays where Bond is expected to punch his weight and be a ruthless killer.

Whilst I've always been a Connery fan, I must admit it was Daniel Craig's Bond in Casino Royale that made me wonder who preferred who as Bond.

Back in the early bond films, the audience knew little about the world of espionage, hence the glamour, gadjets and escapism. These days we're a little wiser, so the "old" bond themes just won't wash.

I do remember hearing a story that the russians used to watch the bond films, convinced that half the gadjets MUST exist and set about creating their own versions of them. Whether it was true or not, I don't know!

Tough one, i had to go with Roger Moore. I preferred the RM films, to the SC films, although SC had the james bond charm and wit. Both the Daniel Craig films have been excellent, and i like the gritty edge DC offers the role - but he hasn't been around long enough to get my vote as favourite James Bond.
