Was experienced by me a few moments ago when the dog jumped up, hit my glass and tipped about half a pint of pepsi into my PC.
Arse.
Its currently in bits drying out, I'm hoping that some bits are salvageable.

My mate once tipped a bottle of Irn Bru into cheese grater G5 Power Mac. Thankfully it dried out (wasn't his).
Seeing as I won't buy from scan, scansure would not have helped.
The PC was on at the time.

Well, I was joking about ScanSure. But how did the Pepsi get into the PC? Did you run it with an open case?
I recently put a glass of wine into my laptop, early on it seemed ok, however after a while it stopped. Fortunately I took it apart dried the bits and it started to work again, the keyboard was had many damaged keys but I just replaced it.

Dry it for a couple of hours and see it goes. The thing with pepsi is that it can get make the components quite sticky.
You will need to leave it go for a couple of days, not hours. It takes ages for coke/pepsi and any other variants of the same to dry out properly.
It's surprising what you can get away with sometimes.
I managed to drop an iPaq into about 9" of hot water, while it was powered up.
I grabbed it, shook the excess water out and immediately removed the battery. After a couple of days, it wouldn't power up, and I thought "bother". Or words to that effect.
After a couple more days tough, it did power up .... with massive screen corruption. And I thought "bother", and so on.
After a couple more days, it power up and no screen corruption. Great I thought. Then it just tied and wouldn't power up. Bother, etc.
A couple of days later it would power up, much there was still a screen problem. Bothe .... oh you know by now.
And a few days after that, it powered up perfectly, and has been working without a hint of any problem for about a year now.
As for a PC .... if you hit the input side of the PSU and got sparks and a nasty electrical burning smell, then that doesn't bode well. If not, then you might get away with it.
Strange though it might seem, much of it I'd be tempted to (while disconnected, obviously) wash thoroughly. I don't know what contaminants Pepsi might contain, but I'd be nervous about powering up something covered in sticky residue. This is just my opinion, though, not advice and whatever you do you do at your own risk.
Good luck.
I would not wash it that would get water into all the connectors and can get behind chips etc, it much better to use wet wipes to try to clean the sticky areas.
