The Rt Hon Gordon Brown MP PM

On the occasion of his resignation, I would like to thank Mr Gordon Brown MP PM for the loyal and tireless service he has provided to this Country both as Chancellor and Prime Minister. I would ask you all to join in the good wishes for his future. You may not agree with his politics but it is impossible to deny his dedication and integrity.

    Gordon, thank you.

    As above.
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."

I'd rather dig out my own entrails with a spoon and feed them to my cat. Gordon Brown will go down in history as the worst post war chancellor, with a record of missmanagement and ineptitude so damaging to the UK it beggars belief. Furthermore considering his total lack of honesty in owning up to his own mistakes how anyone can describe him as having integrity is beyond me.

Yes thank you for helping our country go deep into recession and be one of the last ones out of it and for screwing it all up.

Oh don't be so quick to give him due credit, the UK (and indeed the world) hasn't finished slipping yet.

The recession was/is a global phenomena, which we could not have avoided and he did get my money back from the Icelandic banks quite quick. I don't think he was too bad.

    Roll on ten years...

    Gordon who?

For a man with pretensions to integrity, he showed his colours in the last few days with secret talks to the Lib Dems while they were negotiating with the Conservatives - try to ensure that his own rejected Government clung to power with the tenacity of a barnacle on a ship's bottom. He confuses "National Interest" with Labour Party Interest". Gordon - the two are not synonomous.

Well, regardless of what you think of the guy and his performance, you've got to have a bit of respect for someone who puts their hands up and says, "I accept our performance in this election was my fault, I am therefore resigning."

If I was that inept for 3 years - I would have got the sack 2.5 years ago.

This is to be misdirected by the spin (and they did a great job of that). The question was not if GB caused the recession (though I thought it was utter arugence to say it had abolished boom and bust). Every government has blamed recessions on global factors. The point was he put nothing by in the good times to prepare us for the bad ones, and believed bad ones would never happen. In fact the one thing we did have as a store of weath for the bad times Gold, he choice to sell off during the good times for 5th of the price it was worth. His failure was not to prepare the country. In a recession goods are cheap and money is expensive, countries like China who prepared are now buying up things on the cheap, from people who have to sell (like us). In addition to this we went into an illegal war as Americas lap dog, a war we could not afford, how many schools could that have built?

Worst PM ever, and that is a challenge after Tony bLair!

Yes, thank you Gordan for leaving the country in more debt than we have had since the 2nd World War, and becomming prime minister, even though no-one voted for, or wanted you.

I'm sure as the country now tries to dig itself out of the huge crator he left us in, that he will sit back on his huge fat salary, and then his huge fat pension, not giving a toss about anyone else because he's never going to be short of cash, and because it's now someone elses problem.
