    Alan Wake? Anyone dived in?

I've waited for this for years, and now it's not coming out on PC I'm gutted. I don't have a 360... might need to borrow one tbh.

    Steven loved most of it...
It manages to blur the boundaries between a TV drama and a videogame in a number of ways

worthy of a read... anyone got it yet?

(this post in GD cos I think it's appealing to non gamers too.. being kinda serialised telly style)

Re: Alan Wake? Anyone dived in?

Looks interesting. I'll probably play it in 3 years' time when it's released on PC, and it'll suck. So for now, I'm going to forget it exists.

    Goodbyeeeeeeeee

Been very interested in this but money's tight and as there isn't much resell value I think I'll just bide my time till the price drops.

Any game that is shorter than Dave87 I'm missing at the minute (where 2 hours = 1' in height)

Apparently it's a 10 hour play once then dump game, decent story but predictable and very repetitive, not my genre but most people will probably enjoy it

Was looking forward to this on the PC, but since they ditched the PC version I'll have to give this a miss

Re: Alan Wake? Anyone dived in?

Going to pick it up once it becomes pre owned and a lot cheaper. Its getting just above average reviews with them taking out the whole free roaming / open world side of things.

Re: Alan Wake? Anyone dived in?

Nearly finished my first playthrough and I'm really enjoying it. Yea, it's linear and there's no free roaming but I don't see that has being such a bad thing with this game. The fact that the game is so linear helps to keep the story moving on a decent enough pace and keeps everything feeling really fluid.

I would have probably held off buying it new as well but I have a week off work at the moment and wanted something to play, I'm glad I picked it up now though
