    Hi Folks,

I'm sure this will be of interest to others, Space Shuttle Mission STS-132 is launching in under 30 minutes from now.

Video can be found here - http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/nasatv/index.html

Also, if you've got an iProduct, go here for streaming on those devices - http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/nasat...ve_iphone.html

    Enjoy!

    Re: STS-132 Launch

Yeah, I watched it - I'd never managed to catch a Shuttle launch before. It was pretty sweet - impressive how quickly it gets going, leaves the pad way quicker than something like a Saturn V rocket from footage I've seen.

Very impressive, shame there isn't a replacement waiting in the wings

To be fair the Saturn V was bloody huge and weighed a stupid amount.

That roll at the beginning was a little bit sexy.

I heard on the news this morning NASA are retiring the Shuttle at the end of the year. Just wondering what they're using instead for transport to/from the ISS?

The Automated Transfer Vehicle will be used for transferring basic supplies - stuff like oxygen and clean water. It's (as the name suggests) automated so they just shove it on top of a rocket - probably an Arianne 5 - and it docks by itself.

The ISS should be structurally completed for the last flight (they're putting a spectrometer or something on it).
