How can i find out. I got the disc from dell less than a year ago with my studio laptop. Its a student office edition.

Normally the student editions allow you to install it on 3 PC's, not sure where you would find out the info, but my student edition allowed me to install it on 3 PC's using the same key.

Home and Student lets you on 3 computers you own, entirely depends on which version you got though, I don't think there is a purely "Student" edition.....

Ultimate steal is student only as an offer and is either 1 or 2 machines

I can't see why Dell would provide a multi-user license with a single laptop, seems a pretty odd move.

Would cost them money, and only about 1% of people would knowingly use the full complement of the license.

If it's direct from Dell its actually more likely to be a single user license, not the 3 user license that most retailers sell.
