To set the scene, my friend and I have both recently got offers from London Uni's. He's off to Imperial next year and I'll be just over at King's. This is all very good and well, but considering I live a 30 minute tube journey away from King's and he isn't much worse, the probability of getting accommodation through the uni is not exactly huge.
Unite have just sent me an email advertising their services, but they don't seem to be much cheaper than £200/week. Ideally we're looking for perhaps 70% of that, but of course the cheaper the better! More to the point, I know that a lot of people on this forum are very well educated and thus it is more than likely that some of you may know of companies other than Unite through which we can find student accommodation in Central London.
I'm aware that Central London and cheap accommodation don't go hand in hand, but we want to get an idea of what is on offer. So, anyone know how to go about getting student flats? Also, will it turn out cheaper if we get more people to stay with us? i.e. is a 3 bed flat proportionately cheaper than a 2 bed flat?
Thanks in advance.
