Novelty Ideas for Wedding Reception??

Hi all,

Please throw any ideas at me whatsoever!!!

As the subject explains me and my other half are trying to arrange a wedding in Essex, being the geek I am i'm thinking of novelty ideas.

So far I have thought of the following:

Bubble gum machines
Giant Jenga
Garden Limbo
Snow Machine
Bubble Machine
Caricaturist

Any more idea's?? - I would be very greatful!!!!

Assuming this is before you sit down for the breakfast, one novel idea might be to provide nothing and force your guests to actually talk to each other

for my sisters wedding our great auntie (not far off 90) turned up for the reception in her leather jacket and sunglasses, you never know!

disposable cameras, and an envelope to send them back to you in.. pre paid.. this is risky but very funny!

And a labelled blank CD-R with an envelope pre paid to send you any digital photo's people take.....several for each table.

And a selection of red wigs.

just cos it makes the disposable camera shots better... long term

Provide an assortment of random clothes and props, then tell people they have to dress up as characters from different sci-fi films for the starter, main course and desert. Tie in with cameras.

Make it a masquerade/venetian ball? Everyone's going to be dressed up anyway, so adding a few masks and a little atmosphere.
