according to this article, the main piece of evidence is a fragment from the propeller of the torpedo, that apparently has a serial number that matches another north Korean torpedo. well for me it begs the question, why so stupid?
why would they fire a torpedo that had a serial number on it!? to me, it suggests that it may be one of the following scenarios.
1. a rouge north korean sub, acting without orders.
2. an attempt at starting a new proxy war. possibly by China or maybe US or another 3rd party.
3. the south Koreans themselves, looking for further sanctions against their neighbours.
4. a terrorist act.
or the 5th choice that the world seems to have decided, that the North ordered this attack, and did not make any attempt to cover it's tracks. Considering the only ally they have is China (and this relationship is hardly stable), why would they start a war they have little chance of winning? or is this China starting to pull the strings?
