    Hexites....Lend me your Ears

    So, the community has spoken.

Sigs. Signatures. Those bits below a post.

    TOO BIG.

So, time to check them, trim them down, give them the good old yearly house keeping. Doesn't matter whether its only text or your entire animated gif collection, it needs to be trimmed down.

    OR ELSE.

'cause if the signatures don't fall into the size guidelines we've put together, we are going to have to force them to be 80px. That's right, anything over 80px won't appear.

And that would be a shame. Really, cause we want Hexus members to be able to have what they like (within reason) as their signatures. BUT, if this cannot be done voluntarily, I will personally get HEXUS' very own Web Monkey God to get this change implemented post haste.

Don't say you haven't been warned, and I really hope we don't have to, but that requires you lot to sort your own sigs. And so that no-one can claim they can't find them - these are the rules:

We would be obliged if all members would keep signature graphics and text to a modest size, and follow some basic guidelines as to content.

Size : - Signatures should have a maximum height of 80 pixels (inclusive of text and graphics). Where graphics are used they should have a maximum width of 400 pixels and a file size of 30Kb or under

Content : - Content should not contain any elements likely to be offensive

Please note that while the size guides are not a hard and fast rule, we would be grateful if you could keep more or less to these guidelines. Also note that the board Administrators reserve the right to remove any sigatures, with or without prior notice, that fail to conform and will very likely do so for anything deemed offensive.

thank god, there is some one on this forum with a sig so big it takes up my entire iphone screen!

Why do people think we all want to know the specs for every PC they have touched anyway?

so people have to reduce sigs to the specified 80px, otherwise they will be reduced to 80px? so what does this bit in bold actually mean then?

    Re: Hexites....Lend me your Ears

With us enforcing it, there is a (limited) scope for flexibility. If we set the CSS Style sheet to a maximum size, there won't be.

So, Bunny loses his ears (or would that be his feet?) etc.

I would much rather have sensibly sized sigs without the need for that change to be made....

Well I'm not sure that they will measure each sig, but you should keep as close as...

    Jay = 115px - tsh tsh

How do we know how many pixels it is ?
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

Cheers guys, i removed the BF sig anyway - doesn't update regularly enough for it to be warranted.

    Re: Hexites....Lend me your Ears

Where are the quoted sig guidelines to be found, seeing as the forum guideline link Forum Guidelines doesn't work (& that's where I thought they were).
Also when you go to UserCP/edit sig it still says 100 x 500 pixel limit - just thought I'd mention it.
