collectibles?

anyone own any random collections of junk, or individual items which are considered "collectibles" or "collectors' items"? Stamp collections, model airplanes, belly-button fluff from famous celebrities?

i shall begin with a lone collectible item:



Death.

well. death from Neil Gaiman's Vertigo (DC) comics graphic novel series The Sandman, this particular figurine as drawn by artist Jill Thompson.

the base proudly proclaims it is number 409 of a 2000 figurine run.

i heartily recommend giving the comics a read to anyone with spare time.

Just a few hundred Marvel/DC/Image comics from between 1987 and 1998(ish).

Nothing particularly valuable, but a nice selection of a few first editions, foil/3d covers, mini-series, blah blah.

I've read a couple of the Sandman comics, they were very good. I've got one of the story of Orpheus and Eurydice, which i suppose might be a collectible.

I've got some pretty snazzy records both albums and singles, which could be relatively collectable, along with some badges.

And my newtons are definately collectables.

i'd definitely echo this (well, i would, my username came from a sandman comic) well worth the time tho, excellent comics

used to have a shedfull of original X-men comics and a few silver surfers but managed to lose most of them whilst vacating a particularly crap student flat in the dead of night

i have a few potentially albums on vinyl, many of which i inherited from my dad who was a hippie in the 60's - including an original gatefold sgt Pepper album with all the cut out bits etc

ummmm, i still got loads of my original generation 1 transformers pride of place on my shelf, a completed return of the jedi sticker album around here somewhere, all but 7 issues of the uk transformer comics from the 80s (333 in total), one of those munkey toys from when i worked at itv digital (they were collectible at the time) ummm an amiga 500 and sega saturn (haha - just kidding)
