Chimpanzee's wage war for territory.

Beginning in 1999, several members of the Ngogo group were repeatedly observed leaving their territory and embarking on "boundary patrols" in an area inhabited by another group of chimpanzees. During these patrols, members remained quiet, traveled in a single file line, and refrained from foraging or socializing. Between 1999 and 2008, the Ngogo chimpanzees attacked and killed 13 chimpanzees (four adult males and nine younger animals) in the neighboring group's territory during boundary patrols.

I've always considered being afraid of wild animals with large teeth, common sense rather than a phobia tbh. Yeah a macaque isn't very big, but neither is a piranha

I got bitten by this fricken monkey in Veitnam, but the guide simply said

"They are not endangered, you can hit them back.". So I tried my best but they are fast little things.

It's like people with beards - all that facial hair means they've got something to hide. Never trust a primate they say..
