Hospitals, always looking for ways to pay the bills, this has got to be the best yet.

Lets just hope it wasn't one bed in a ward and they drew the curtain round them and then just let them get on with it.
I suppose its an oppertunity for some free advertising!
Nothing wrong with this imo. There has been a lack of decent nurse themed films recently... This is good news
I hope the bedding was washed afterwards...
Frankly I can't see why Penny Mordaunt MP is complaining. The hospital had taken the ward out of use (presumably because they could not afford to staff it), and then someone comes along wanting to rent the ward for a week or so to make a film, offering to pay handsomely. The way I see it everyone wins, the hospital gets some much needed cash, and the film company get a realistic set without having to build one in a studio somewhere. It should be irrelevant if this was an episode from some soap, or a pr0n flick.
By complaining that MP, just makes herself look like a prude with a closed mind.
So what was the "substantial income" it generated spent on? Party hats?... it cannot be said to be contributing to the objectives of the primary care trust. ...![]()
"In a perfect world... spammers would get caught, go to jail, and share a cell with many men who have enlarged their penises, taken Viagra and are looking for a new relationship."
Jeez, some people need to pull their heads out of their arses, it's a closed ward FFS, making no money for the hospital but costing them for upkeep...
Renting it out for filming and raking in a large sum of money is benefiting the NHS service, as it gives them extra money to play with...
If it had been Constipation Street rather than a booby bouncer would anyone have moaned? (I'm sure that they groaned in the latter)
Would there have been uproar if the film was in fact Harry Potter and it was the scene where he was in the sick bay after 1 of this many fights?
Of course not, they'd be prasing the film industry for ploughing money back into the NHS, but because it was an adult film their complaining more about the ploughing, than the money they've been given.
Smacks of double standard in all honesty and that MP needs to get a grip with reality. Are you telling me she doesn't enjoy a good session of horizontal jogging.
It's a shame... I bet Jackie Smiths husband could have gone along to watch and therefore stop buying porn on pay-per-view![]()
I lol'd."Although I cannot claim to have seen the final picture - as I understand, these things are no longer claimable on parliamentary expenses - it was a big-budget affair and generated substantial income for the hospital."

Don't see the problem, disused and they made some money.
