    Beards

    What's everyone's take on beards?

I've had a neatly trimmed beard for a while now, over a year (wet razor on cheeks and neck, #2 clippers over the rest) but my better half has been nagging me to keep growing it longer. So no I can't really remember when I last had a shave. It's getting quite thick and long.

Along with this I've been told not to cut my hair, something my mum is also pleased about.

So what do the women out there think of beards? Is my better half just a weirdo?

    Re: Beards

Nah, my other half is the same..
Currently I have a fairly big full beard but usually I shave it with a trimmer so it's all stubbley like but she's always on at me to let it grow.

    Re: Beards

I hate facial hair, I wish it had an off switch.

I make every effort to keep suitably trimmed so it is actually impossible to see. I was down on a Jackup (Irish Sea Pioneer, if anybody knows it!) a few days back sans Razor and it was slightly visible when I came back, it annoyed me terribly!

    Re: Beards

I have a goatee most of the time and am pretty stubbly around it. It will sometimes morph into a Blackadder II style.

Most women I know don't seem to like facial hair but my other half prefers me with it..

    Re: Beards

I get the feeling that there aren't many women out here to contribute

My other half likes me in a goatee (which frankly I find a pain the rear to keep neat and tidy ), but her general take on beards (I just asked her for her opinion ) is that "they cover up a multitude of sins"

So it looks like the general message - at least from the other halves of hexusites - is that beards are a good thing. Although there could be a slight element of sample bias there...

    Re: Beards

I feel that I would be doing the ladies of this world a great disservice if i was to cover up this work of beauty with facial hair. Several women have pronounced quite emphatically their return to faith as a result of laying eyes upon my countenance as it quite obviously proves that there is a supreme being and that I am the chosen one.

Some have even claimed to have seen Jesus travel past on a self powered mode of transport after seeing me in all my glory, so for me, beards are a strict no no, it would be denying the world of a great pleasure.

    Re: Beards

currently i'm looking like a twit in a light, 10 day beard. It gets to a certain length and then back to nothing.

Not sure why i'm letting it happen...

But whats worse is I have like this badger thing going on, dark at the sides and with a blond stroke down the middle.

    Re: Beards

    At least it's not ginger..

Haven't met a girl yet who likes a beard. Bit of stubble is okay from a distance.

    Re: Beards

Odd, most girls i know like the Ol beards, well the neatly trimmed ones! i suppose it depends on the way you let it grow, if its "out of hand" then i dont think most women like it, however keep it trimed and tidy....they love it!

Known one who liked a bit of bum fluff (only on the base of the chin)!

But that is mostly because of a certain practice, or act, that she seamed to have some perversion towards.

    Must resist commenting. Oh . . . .

Annoyingly whenever I let the beard grow, I get 1 tiny patch that is ginger! No ginger in the family, where has it come from?! So the bearded look is ruined by some ginger add ons.
