    Test Purchasing

    Anyone ever done this?

Michael ( 16 ) went on his first exercise last night, around pubs and nightclubs attemting to buy alchohol. Quite scary, because he managed to get served in all of the places they visited giving the police and trading standards an 100% success rate.

He said it got a bit lairy when a landlord kicked off, saying that it was bouncers fault for letting Mike in in the first place. The police refused that saying that you were the ones who should of checked his age and you served him. At the moment the premises were fined, they are going back in a few weeks to see if they are still serving, if they are then they end up in court... Michael is going out with them twice a week for the next 6 weeks! he really enjoyed it. The police were impressed at how confident he was and said that it was part the reason he'd been successful, Mike said he works in a pub, so was used to the environment. Michael really enjoyed his first night, lets hope they continue to be successful

Yes, but I didn't do it with the plodders and shoot myself in the foot by not being able to get served again - that can't of won him any fans or cookies from his mates ?
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

Oh well, if his mates don't like it then they aren't real mates are they. And he was taken well away from his locality so unlikely to go there again.

Not sure I'd have the balls to do it, but I would've liked to. Shocked at how well he did to be honest, although I don't drink a lot of my mates have come unstuck before in local pubs/clubs and I've had similar problems when I lost my ID a few months back.

He got paid decently I presume?

No, Mike doesn't drink, unless he's at home and then it's just a couple of breezers. He's said he doesn't like the taste.

He doesn't get paid, but he gets expenses perks and rewards, they'll take him out to dinner... Last night they were taken to a chinese restaurant, and they had pizza before coming home ( Michael was pleased to learn that the police get 50% off Dominoes pizza ) ... Plus snacks and drinks inbetween.... He also got to choose a reward, he chose a HMV voucher, he'll get one voucher per excercise, not sure how much a voucher will be worth, but i'm sure he'll end up doing quite well out of it all.

And experiences like this can only look good on a CV

Thought it might've been something like that, pretty good deal tbh.

    And I agree, anything's good when you're 16!

Thanks, he was very well looked after.

Yep as when your 16 you don't have many if any credentials... Mike is lucky as he's worked for the past 3 years, so at least he has that as a credential. He's recently applied for an apprenticeship at Honda as a mechanic..... Hoping he gets as far as an interview

    Re: Test Purchasing

We had someone in when I was @ Curry's, a 14 year old lad came in wanting to buy an 18 game, I challeneged him for ID, he didn't have any so kindly refused to serve him. Then about two minutes later the police walked in with him and explained and said the lad was impressed with how professional and friendly I was when refusing to sell him GTA IV for the 360.

Apparantly they had caught several stores out that day.
