heard this a few hours ago. very sad news.
i've always grown up in a snooker loving household, and my dad used to always tell me how much entertainment alex higgins provided him, and how he was so popular.
also very sad to know that he may have been dead for several days before he was found.
RIP
Dentist, and general teeth lover.

Very sad, Alex was a natural talent with a huge personality. All we'll be left with to entertain us soon is the sons, daughters, nephews and nieces of the already famous. Talent and personality won't be required, just the right connections.
RIP Alex. You lived your life like a candle in a hurricane.
He's probably better off now though - he was extremely unwell... it can't have been pleasant. RIP Hurricane.
