Found an 8GB memory card on the train...

So naturally being curious I fired it up in my phone to see what was on there... in summary some music of mixed tastefulness (copied some), some photos and movies of a puppy and "kate vid.avi" which is of a 'personal nature' if you get my drift...

Am I morally corrupt for rifling through a memory card? At least I'd now be able to return it if I spot her on the train...!

Maybe you should take screenshots from said vid and print them out so that you can put posters up offering to return the item
I would have rifled through if I wasn't so scared of viruses.

Meh, it's LG branded, unlikely a virus from there would have infected my N900!

You know that's not a bad idea lol

Aww c'mon, you've had some free music and a bit of tittilation. Don't go spreading it about for all the weirdos in the World to salivate over. Do the gentlemanly thing and give it back to the person it belongs to if you can; if you can't, erase or destroy it.

Well from examination I am looking for a mid to late 20s female, prob called Kate who has a dog called Arthur, owns an LG Renoir, has a friend called Olivia, makes pancakes on pancake day, films the odd striptease, uses the Metropolitan line, probably lives between Watford and Bushey judging by the saved bus timetable.

    Not much to go on...

    Yes and no....
Yes for opening personal files such as the video, no if all you went through to do was to find details of the owner.

I had an autoplay to open my contact details on opening my uni drive, had my uni number, name and phone number.
Didn't stop whoever nicked it on the day I handed in my dissertation from nicking it though

Well to be quite honest I wasn't expecting the smut, I was at work after all when going thru this!

    I was thinking...
    A. Worked after being on a train floor?
    B. Was there any good music or such like on it?
    C. Wonder if I could trace the owner, she might be grateful...

There are pictures of friends and a puppy (which is probably cute if you don't despise dogs) so I reckon it has had 1 not very careful lady owner...

Tbh I think you're proving my point . You already have several fantasies about what the avi might be. Whoever this girl is, she can do without a public embarrassment for something that happened in private and with trust.
