Quick question.
Routes like LF7 or LF13, are they OK for going on a light hybrid bicycle? Or do they require off road dirt track tires?
Thanks![]()

I live in the Netherlands, and cycle here regularly.
However, I have absolutely no clue, sorryIf you come near The Hague, drop in for a drink!
Most of Holland is good for cycling - there are cycle paths everywhere (at least where I go there are).
Oh I know how much better Netherlands is for cyclists, I used to live in Rheindahlen not far from the border as a child.
I still hate cycling in Blightly by comparison, but as I can get a flight out of city airport, to Eindhoven then out via Schipoll with no extra charge to bring my bike (Genesis Day 02) I figure it would be a nice trip to do the weekend after next, its probably less than 150km so an easy two days, with a day off to spend appreciating art in Amsterdam, made all the easier thanks to coffee shops.
The main route would be LF7:

So hopefully nice and easy, maybe 80km first day, stop at Nieuwegein, before on to Amsterdam in time to enjoy the sunday evening.
I've got a set of the Maps waiting for me at that specialist shop in Covent Garden. Thou my dutch extends to Fiets meaning bicycle.....

You speak any dutch then?
only one or two words, I can't string a sentence together!
but it doesn't take bablefish long to translate all the words on the key of the map![]()

Fair enough. One word you definitely should know is "gezellig". Untranslatable unfortunately but it means a kind of cosy, nice atmosphere. "lekker" is another essential which means nice/tasty. Although, if you know a few words then these two are probably already in your vocabulary![]()

Good to know, If I have any words or issues reading the maps I'll post em here. But its not my first time in the Netherlands, I can still remember we used to go to Efterling a fair bit when I was 6!

To be honest everyone (in cities at least) speaks a pretty outstanding level of english. Rurally it's slightly less impressive on the whole but still pretty good.
