    Friday 13th

So has any bad luck come your way at all today?

Today my keyboard failed, and while I was moving a cooked pot of pasta, it all fell on the floor ruining my lunch

    Re: Friday 13th

I had an accident in the car yesterday. Someone opened their door as I drove past them in a car park and it completely mangled the right wing. Somehow the door, bonnet, and bumper around it are completely undamaged, despite the wing being completely wrecked.

Their insurance phoned this afternoon trying to get a confession out of me, but dad answered the phone and insisted they talk to our insurance company.

So, not Friday the 13th bad luck, but near enough.

    Re: Friday 13th

Our DBA's discovered that installing Server 2003 SP2 takes longer than the scheduled downtime.
I discovered that installing Server 2003 SP2 ate 2GB of drive space and left the server with 0 bytes free.
One of my PC's that has been bluescreening for a while now won't recognise any drives. Ah well, at least I know what was causing the blue screens.

    Re: Friday 13th

sorry to hear of all your bad luck!!!

I went to Sainsburys earlier, parked my car up, did my shopping came out and as I walked around the car I noticed a chuffin great crack on my windscreen!!! Inspected it closer and it starts right at the bottom of the screen on the passenger side and rises up about 10" Only thing I can think of was driving along a newly surfaced road recently, lots of loose stone chippings.... I suppose i've only noticed it as it's gotten bigger

Still got a few hours to go, but aside from my screw up (which pre-dates today), I am feeling quite good right now (dopamine high?) after beating two personal records at the gym just now

    Re: Friday 13th

Today, well lets see. It started alright, but gradually got worse.

    1) Whilst walking to my own front door, I tripped over for no apparant reason and hurt my already weak right knee, lovely
    2) I have to give a refund to a bloke I sold a router to because he reckons it's faulty
    3) Tripped over the cats water bowl, water all over the kitchen floor
    4) Drove all the way home from North Cornwall with my boot lid flapping open like a good'un and didn't realise TILL after I got home
    5) Fell UP the stairs to my mates flat
    6) Stood on the cats tail
    7) Had a bottle of coke explode in the car because it got too hot
    8) Caught a pikey kid trying to take my wing mirrors off (again!)
    9) Took a load of verbal abuse from some polish bloke because I happened to be looking in his direction
    10) Same polish bloke walks out infront of my car

I'm so glad today is all but over.

Sorry but I had a at your expense there - that's a cracking list, fine comic build-up. I should sit tight for the next 7 mins.

Ah, the old cats water bowl, how many times have I done that. I even miss it, now I don't have my cat.
