    Re: Sound problem

after reading my prvious post ive realised not to post when i just wake up as that made no sense at all

right i ahve my samsung series 5 tv hooked up to my pc via a DVi-D ->hdmi lead that link with my 9800gtx
i then have my onboard sound connected to the tv as the sound for hdmi 2 which is wat my pc is plugged into

my problem is whenever i get either the do u want to install stuff from windows that greys out ur whole screen other than the box or i plug in headphones then unplug them i lose sound on my tv and have to go to nvidia control panel and change my res to the same but with audio enabled and then change it back to disabled to get the sound back

i know its not that hard to go control panel each time but its just damn annoying when ur listening to music while installing stuff

    Re: Sound problem

Go with a graphics card that has a proper audio solution? Any AMD HD series or nVidia 4** series card should do.

    Re: Sound problem

Do you have the latest sound card driver? I installed Realtek a few days ago and it has HDMI output as a setting. So some option like that might help. Otherwise you could just use a 3.5mm cable which works with HDMI on my 5 series Samsung.
