lol I knew this one would come up!

    EDIT:

One other thing. Not a problem at the moment, but if you grow in the number of shop support forums, may I suggest a separate forum for that rather than having them in General Hardware? If there got to three or more then it may just get in the way a bit, like on those forums where they have like 15 stickys before you get down the the threads.

Very minor thing, but maybe worth considering?

I agree with these. I like reading stats on people - call me a statistics whore.

I know people say it increases spamming - but spammers will be spammers regardless.

edit: There's a nice script called VBStats http://www.influx9.com/vbstats/ that brings up all sorts of funky stuff like the percentage of visitors from x country etc.

I'll second that one - i know active users are listed in the individual forums - but it would be nice if you could see everyone that was online.

A gripe I have (call me a kiljoy ) is that there should be a limit on the size of some of the sigs - I remember a theread about it a while back; I don't think that I'm the only one around here that thinks the same.

How about a games arcade? a place where people can go play lil internet games and we all get ranked.

    example: http://www.livefoodshop.co.uk/forum/...php?act=Arcade

This is the sort of thing im talking about. I think it would fit in very well round here.

Stats are good & so is being able to see who's logged in on the main forum index. Also, as it has been bought up, I too think the retailer support forums should be together. Makes sense.
All in all tho, things seem to run smoothly, so if it aint broke....

I'm with the sigpic size limit - something like 450x200 pixels for an image and 10 lines of normal size text at 1024x768, or a combination to that effect.

Also, the cookery forum doesn't need that many subsections - it makes the quickjump menu HUGE!

Definatly do something about the sigs.

Even at 1280*1024 some of the sigs are massive, and another thing computer specs in a sig? pffft so last year

Also sticky the latest review in GD, GH... Etc.. for a few days.

The idea of this is so that people don't need to keep retyping their whole specs every time they have a problem or something and someone asks "What motherboard do you hvae?", etc. Makes life easier.

And it's useful for a spot of bragging
