Genius idea, build an elevator (a what?). Then all they'd have to do was find the world's thinnest man who just happens to not be afraid of heights to ride in said elevator.

How much would they get paid for that one climb? I can not think any amount that I would risk for doing that...I have a thing of heights.
You'd have plenty of time to rethink your career while falling off that.
A couple of things about that that surprise me: the free climbing and the use of a fall arrest style hook when he is at the top.
He goes to the effort of attaching a carabina, but then hooks into that, I would have just clipped the cows tail directly to the tower with the crab.
At about 2:29 he says something about "osho rules" allowing free climbing, any idea what those rules are or how you spell "osho", I can't find anything from a quick search. There certainally isn't anything like that in the IRATA rules, so I wonder where this is from.

My dad's done some mast climbing when he was with the BBC - safety lines don't really make much difference when you're up a mast apparently. Apart from the fact that there's bog-all room inside the structure, there's so many pointy bits waiting to grab you as you fall - you'd be stabbed to death before the fall killed you. I love the way the narrator says "There's no quick ways down..." I find myself disagreeing somewhat - there is a quick way down. Just a step to your left, Sir. Parachute would deffo be the best way to get off that though... geez.
That clip was awesome. Stunning views and I bet that is one awesome job in the summer.
