    Just Popping Over to US/Canada...

...anyone want anything whilst I'm over there?

It's now less than 24 hours before my North American adventure starts, and I decided to repeat what I did last year with my Japan holiday and try to keep a blog on my travels. My travels plans are below: -

It's a two week tour with a couple of days afterwards in New York. I've written more details on my blog: -

    http://gerrarduk.files.wordpress.com/

Hopefully I'll be able to update fairly regularly and will be an interesting read for all.

Re: Just Popping Over to US/Canada...

Montreal is overrated. Loads of them speak French

Seriously though, it's a nice place. Weather was crap when I went though, which never helps.

2 weeks could be a bit mental, considering the number of places you're cramming in, but I've done New York in 48 hours so it's definitely achievable.

Re: Just Popping Over to US/Canada...

    Enjoy!

Finger Lakes/Niagara Falls/Toronto are all fantastic places! Montreal I didn't like so much, but spent most of my time there at the F1 circuit, and being lost at 0200 and having some chap try and sell me drugs before getting grief from a Taxi driver for not being accurate enough with my directions...

..but it was a pretty cool place too!

My trip report/story/delayed blog should be finished by the time you get back!

    Enjoy!

Edit: I take it you are staying at the Departure Hotel in Secaucus? If so, its the 320 bus you want from Port Authority bus station! It'll be at Gate 231 until 2200 and Gate 320 from 2201 'till 0100. I remember that much from last month (and digging out the timetable I still have!)

    Finn fails at maths.

    Leaves in 24 hours, going for 14 days, and the Lan is in 7 . . . . . .

    Hang on a minute

British airways? Free drink if it is

If you go shopping in Macys you get discount if you show them your passport, tbh I think it's to keep staff morale up looking at all the funny passport photos

Virgin, but still the same deal.

Took 16 hours, but I'm finally at my hotel. I've update the blog with "Day 0 - Travelling". Absolutely knackered and only got 6 hours to sleep...

    Its not the same stuff.

Not 'proper' Moutain Dew. Think of it more as one of the older (cant remember which) energy drinks rebranded.

You can get alot of US stuff, from a few sites, and I know one of said sites actually has a shop up in the Centre in MK.
