    Angry Aaarggghhhh

Just had DFS deliver our Brand new Sofa after a 6 week wait..

…and it won’t fit into the flat…they could get it through the door frame ok, but can’t fit it around the corner, so they’ve had to take it away.

    Bugger

Yeah we did - we made sure it was no wider or taller than our current one, problem is its fatter, so although it goes trough the door frame ok, we can't get it around the corner. 1 inch too big

You know they have large bolts in the arm, accessible from the bottom usually which allows you to take the arms off?

    Right - update

(No -the arms weren't removeable, and yes we had got rid of the old one)

Good old DFS have swapped it for a smaller model, and although this one is on a 9 week delivery (gulp) they have promised to do their very best to get it ASAP for us.

In the meantime they are lending us a couple of leather chairs which they are delivering Wednesdy this week.

And who said customer service was dead?

DFS treated me really well too.....

I ordered a chair and THEN filled my pants on it fitting or not.....

so I rang them, told em I was worried and they got the one OUT OF THE SHOWROOM in Milton Keynes, drove it to my house in Aylesbury and tried it for me!

Thats a 60 miles round trip....for money they already had....

    top comany

Got masses of sypmathy for ya!

Exact same thing happened to me when I moved into my flat - I was one VERY disappointed, upset Bunny I can tell ya!! And the delivery men looked at me rather strangely when my sentences suddenly consisted of nothing but swearing!! (Quality) Lucky you arent dealing with SCS they stuffed me right up and wouldnt give me a refund - so I broke down in tears in their shop - voila, 1 refund!!

You'll appreciate your sofa all the more when you eventually get it - I LOVE mine now, especially after spending 6 months sitting on a futon getting a numb ass!!
If you're not living on the edge, you take up too much room
