    I feel Weiiird

Well yesterday morning at 9am i started finishing off my coursework for computing. i thought "ahh ill be done by 6pm ill have some dinner n have an early night", little did i realise quite how long things would take,

ive worked pretty much non stop, a couple of 20 min breaks and ive just finished now, 6.23am the morning after

i get into bed and my body starts spasmin n i jus feel awake n i cant get to sleep arg

thing is i gotto be up again in an hour, i kno if i get sleepy then i wont wanna wake up, but if i stay away ill probably stay alert n awake. think ill try go to sleep tho.

the moral of the story?? Dont leave things till the very last minute

I've found that (for me) leaving assignments to the last minute works great. Out of 12 assignments since October, I've only had one that was graded less than a B (got a C+ :>).

It's not that I'm a frock-wearing genius, or anything.. just that controlled amounts of stress are a brilliant motive for getting work done. Of course, leaving it too late can impair the quality, but you have to make sure that you leave it late... but not TOO late.

I don't sleep much anyway, and I'm tired/feeling like poo 24/7, so I suppose working through the night, or days on end (as was the case last week) is quite well suited to me, despite the mental and physical strain it puts me through.

Can't quite remember what the point of my post was, except to show off my m4d sK1Llz, or something.. but.. hope you feel better, don't sleep too long, and good luck with the results!

Hope it was worth th effort fraggie m8. Jeez, I remember last minute coursework, stress central, but everybody does it. Sometimes it is the only way to get yr ass motivated.

That happens to me if i let myself stay awake for to long as well, get all twitchy.

Late night/all day coursework sessions are what education is all about! I hardly know one person, or one assignment that has been completed weeks before the hand-in...it just doesn't happen One of the last big group projects i did at UNI had me and 3 mates starting at 2pm on the Thursday afternoon and finishing at 4.30AM in the morning!! We then had to work on it frantically to meet the deadline as well as prepare a presentation for a module.

You see, we told ourselves that'll never happen again...but you know it will!

Enjoy your day, i would recommend just staying rather than going to sleep...sleep will make you feel worse

Just thinking back to the nights before assignments at the University computer labs (24/7 access). Turn up at around 9am and work through to ~8am surviving on chocolate (snack machine), nicotene and caffine. Back to hall for breakfast and then bed

Remember one guy who would turn up at around 3am - very, very awake but unable to talk... He ended up dropping out in his second year.

Frightening how long ago that was now.

Still, went over to one of my companys american branches last year for a couple of weeks to launch a project - and ended up doing 10:30AM-4AM days - apart from launch day when we did 11AM->3PM the next day.

I've got no plans to work there anytime soon - I like 9-5
Now go away before I taunt you a second time.

I watched the entire first series of 24 in one go once, just had short breaks between each and trips down the road to spar to stock up on munchies. my mate left me there and went to bed after about the forth episode and i was still sat there the next day when he woke up for work. ahh 17 and a half hours of 24, bliss!

maybe thats why i too left my college work until the last moment

Some might call it that, but when you have elisha cuthbert on screen, who would be able to fall asleep. The worst part was when i was about 18 episodes in i started forgetting what i ahd just seen and had to skip the dvd back 10minutes all the time.

I just knocked out my final project report... Or dissertation.. 65 pages of diagrams and explanations of a very specific domain - making internet connections through digital television links. In approximately 3 days of real work..

I stayed up for ~52 hours straight typing it up.. reading it etc.. I finished it at 5am. The handin was 12pm. So I walked 2 miles to a mates house and proof read his document ! Sleep is for the weak-ends...

After the handin I tried to go out at like 4pm. Got very drunk and then couldn't keep awake after 9pm.. I went home and just collapsed for a few hours.

--- 24 is the best show ever.. Just forget that the situations are pretty stupid and just let yourself go along for the ride. Its been a few months since I saw a new ep from season three. It is even better !

Actually.. Its kind of a dream to do one of those party bookings of a cinema.. And MAKE them show a series of 24. You just bring in a dvd and they show it - if they have the proper projector.

Haha, touched a nerve i see and yes, 24 is an awesome show, groundbreaking! just a shame this series has almost finished. i even managed to include it into a presentation i had to give about the depiction of the police genre through time. But then we also had a pic of chief wiggum on our opening screen, so it wasn't hard.
