I had nothing to do with it - I'm not an idiot thanks. I'm just curious to know what the consequences are. I haven't done anything and more to the point it's not like he named and shamed people or admitted that it was the school who made the account. So he hasn't achieved anything, for all we know it isn't even the school.
Indeed - there is a little bit of conclusion jumping going on in the thread - the original post stated the question quite clearly - and I think it has been answered. However the thread has raised one or two other questions about cyber bullying/stalking which are (IMHO) worthy of debate.
The moral high ground is all very well - but don'tt succumb to altitude sickness :)

I guess it's possible, it's jsut I really haven't noticed anything going on :S
And to be honest with you, I go to a school in a pretty affluent area, there are no hardcore chavs (or neds as they're called here)
to speak of and everyone is just very... polite on facebook, that's what confuses me :D

I feel your pain. It must be very frustrating to have to keep repeating this. Strange that so many people feel OK about 'advising' you, without actually having read your OP.
Anyway, it's legal, just pretty pointless.
If the school decided to punish anyone, what would be the reason? Bullying a fictitious character? Bullying the school cop perhaps? It sounds obvious that everyone (as you said) quickly worked out that this 'person' was just a stalking horse and treated it with the contempt it deserved.
On Hexus people who pretend to be someone they are not are punished by expulsion, if I recall correctly, so I doubt anyone here actually sympathises with the troll-bot.
Re: School + facebook = bad plan
Thankyou Brucelles - exactly the kind of response i've been looking for! A reasonable one! Also a nice analogy at the end :D

Welcome to Hexus
Edit: Nevermind, beaten to it :p
Re: School + facebook = bad plan
TBH you might have had better replies if you had just stated the facts instead of mocking the staff:

That\'s what probably made us think you were more inclined towards "getting one over them" than the technical/legal point of fake accounts.
