I've almost always eaten at my desk as I tend to like to surf the 'net on my lunch break. It's not so bad as long as you take an actual break from your work, rather than rushing through a quick bite to eat and then getting back on with it.

This is bunny and friends. He is fed up waiting for everyone to help him out, and decided to help himself instead!
you lucky lot, you actually get a desk.
I have a hydraulic motorcycle lift and a broken swively chair (wheel keeps falling off). its that or sit in the reception/office portacabin thing in a wheelchair or scooter while using the floor as a makeshift table.
hopefully in a month or 2 when the new place is built, there will be a dedicated lunch area for us to use (thats if they've built it by then).
The bits and pieces of part-time work I do in theatres (couple of hundred hours a year) tends to include no desks... but we'll all eat and work and just have our lunches lying around.
The only rule we have is no eating in front of an audience and no eating whilst handling dusty equipment as dust and dirt accumulated over 20 years is apparently bad for you

Keep reading this as "Do you eat your desk at work?"
Yes, and far too often. Problem is, the canteen sucks, there are restaurants round here, but either expensive or if you get there late, you'll have to wait ages, and there simply is not enough time for that.
*scoffs a subway at her desk*

Pub visit cancelled today as the build didn't build quick enough.

I guess everyones different, I always eat at my desk. (eg Morning/Lunch) I don't think it's rude at all because at the end of the day, we still have a banter. And the work gets done on time and we provide for our customers.
But thinking about it, I really need to change my selection of foods/sweets lol. As in the long run my health will suffer. And I ain't round ... for now.
Hey there, just thought i'd stop by and say hi!
I need the time away from the computer screen, I like to sit out doors actually when it's not too cold.
I don't know if anyone watches Mad Men, (about the 1960's advertising firm) In the last series the office got a vending machine, I guess they were quite a new invention at the time the shows set, they comment on how much it's increased the companies productivity as people have started eating at there desk and not taking such long breaks.
Yes - most days, BUT I usually am still working while doing so.
Then I try and get out for an hour.
NEVER use the canteen as the food is bluuuuuck and too expensive.
I eat at my desk, my lunch and my iphone. Thats all i need =)
I'm eating at my desk right now (on a Saturday, boo hoo...)
No way!! I thought I was the only one who had this problem, maybe it's a common thing with women to be honest thankfully the desks have been re arranged and I'm sitting near the guys who do video work (they just have their headphones on most of the time).
If someone is eating all the time next to you it's going to be a distraction and plus it'll make you hungry yourself
When I knew she was dieting that week I purposely used to eat chocolate (which I rarely do), crisps and other stuff she'd love and savor it! my silent way of retaliating back at her
