today i went and had a......

Fake tan applied professionally!! im going out for a big posh dinner tm with my other half black tie etc

so i had to do something about my pale and pasty skin, cos it just didnt look right with my black dress

ever had one girls? this was a spray type, called Angel wings, not the san tropez one.... i wanted one of them, but the place in town couldnt fit me in

i had to strip to nothing but knickers and then stand there, while i got sprayed with this cold stuff, and i mean COLD it was like standing in one of them showers after u have been in the sauna, its freezing cold and gets you from all angles and i wouldnt have minded but i thought this was an automatic thing and that i would be sprayed by a machine.... this girl came in with me and did it!!! so embarrassed and shocked

Expensive tho, £29 and i dont even look like ive had it done

Hopefully tm morning when i get up i will be nice and brown cant have a shower or do anything that involves sweating untill then! in the morning i can wash it off

it taks a while to develop, but i wouldnt pay £29 to have it done!

I use tanning wipes from boots. They apply really easily and evenly, so no streaks or stripes. Leave it on for 4 hours to develop, then do it again. It's funky cool if you want that instant tan look and it's not orange like you'd expect with fake tan, its v.natural looking and MUCH cheaper than spray tan!

Another fan of tan wipes here. Although the ones I tried were from Wilkinson's

Someone at work had the spray tan done and had to come into work the next day (she wasn't allowed to wash til after 5 that night) and I have to say she looked like she had been tangoed Did look better the next day after she had washed. She was supposed to go back for a 2nd session 2 days later to have any missed bits done (there were a few bits on her arms and legs that were missed) but she didn't. Cost her £15 for that one session, not sure how much the 2nd one would have cost though.

You are aware you need to show us pics of you & Tumble all poshed up

    I've used Ecotan before ( well I stole Amy's )

its a bit of a 3 part system - you have some exfoliant , the stuff itself and some tanning accelerator type stuff.

was a bit tricky to do , but seemed to work - never seen my legs anythign other than pasty white before !!

Can I just echo what Hidden Spirit just said, and go 'awwwwwwww'. That's an ace photo

Tan looks good in that shot, thankfully the 'tango days' are long gone!

The body shop tanning stuff is good too...

It never streaked with me... And doesn't take ages to develop.

I think I might try those wipes now though.
