Apparently the guy thought he was buying Tower bridge *sniggers*. Besides, if it's in Arizona how can it be London bridge? Unless they renamed the nearest town to it.

ahh yes...saw this today. Blocked off practically ALL the roads around the pleasure beach, people couldnt get to there cars! Was an insane amount of smoke, and i heard its the Grand National, and Noah's Ark thats been burnt down. Theres also rumour it could be another insurance scam, as was the rumour last time the Pleasure Beach had a fire (the fun house).

Interesting thing, when the guy tried to export tower bridge, British customs wern't sure how much it was worth, so they kept a percentage of the actual bridge. The blocks were stored and sold at auction a couple of years ago.

Tower Bridge hasn't been exported - it's still right where it's always been, or it was a couple of weeks ago when I walked over it.

I presume you mean the old London Bridge which, as Galant pointed out, is now in it's retirement home.

And as for the idea that Robert McCulloch thought he was buying Tower Bridge, well, wondeful little story though it is, I have to say I have grave doubts about it's accuracy.
