    Angry P900 Grrrr

Trying to get a P900 at the moment; it appears that everybody wants to tell me a different lie to get me to get something else.

I'm willing to pay £50 for the phone and £50/month contract, but no one seems to be able to come up with the goods - it appears that even the truth appears to be a scarcity at the moment. After the last experience I had when trying to get a new phone I might start using bean cans and string.

Why don't you just buy it offline? Also, willing to pay £50 for the phone? It's a £500 phone ffs!! No doubt you plan to bitchslap that tariff down after the first month too?

Seriously, there's plenty available, you just have to be prepared to pay what they're worth.

You can get them from Orange - they are sending me a new one.

I would wait until Septermber for a P1000 anyway.

I am moving to a Nokia 6230 anyway - P900 is too big

lol....I've suddenly realised how fond I am of my father-in-law...every time he comes to visit he brings a batch of the latest phones for me to have that he gets for free. This time it was a P900, a Nokia 7600, a Siemens SX1, and this funky little thing from a company called Haier called a P5.

Before that I've had an unlocked (not O2 specific) XDA, an SE P800, an SL55, a Nokia 9210, 8850, 8310, 2x 7650, 7250, 7210 (I'm just starting to realise how many phones I must have stashed about the house), a couple of motorola's, and a Samsung SGH-P400....

You know my favourite out of that lot? The Nokia 9210....I bloody love that phone, but I think the battery is busted or something, it won't recharge
Can't wait till the Nokia 9500 comes out...just wish they'd make it slimmer...

David ... that 6230 looks similar spec to my Siemens SX1, although the nokia looks more compact (I can't get my head round texting on this 'keys down the side of the screen malarky' to tell the truth).

The link tends to have stock of the p900's before anyone else.
P900's have not been recalled by SE, thats BS.
There were certain batches recalled by SE due to a faulty charger at the beginning of the year.
I know that the link, at one point was only selling the p900 on the 70/month tariff. I don't know if they still have the "unwritten" rule, so its best to say that's what you want it on just to find out if they have any in stock.
These things are selling fast though, phone up in the morning to see if they have any in, if they do, get it put aside.
It took me ages to get mine back in February, but good luck !

Well, buy a K700 or what they are called, they seems to be quite nice. It's very much like the P900.

There are severe shortages of P900s all across the country right now. Good luck finding one. K700 is nothing like the P900 either.

P900 is a really nice PDA/phone... My mom has one Even though Symbian OS ain't my favourite system, I still see it as a good product. Good luck with finding it, a great buy if you can get hold of one (and afford it)...

    Didn't know about expansys.

Looking at their pre-releases, it looks like there's going to be some funky phones coming out soon.

Looking at the P900 type stuff there's the Motorola MPX, Samsung SGH I700.

I know it's a £500 phone, but a few phone companies were giving them away at the beginning of the year.

As they're in short supply, hopefully if I wait a bit and the supply gets better the price might come down.

Expansys may state 63 available and they may have the stock, but try getting hold of one from a normal retail store or network dealer. My information comes direct from the Sony Ericsson brand manager for the South East of England with whom I chatted just over a week or so ago.

You don't know when the next freighter load is arriving do you??

Otherwise, has anyone used a Motorola A925?? I've seen lots of dummy ones and whilst they are brick like, I'm not too bothered as long as they've got the PDA functionality. I also quite like the idea of the AGPS - but I don't know how useful it might be for car journeys.
