still a pig with memory, too.
Just right click and deselect the tabs on top button
Also I'm hating the integrated refresh/ top button. The animation when opening a new tab is starting to bug me and finally when you type into the address bar it used to go to the first link, but now only goes to a google page.![]()

Have re-jigged 1 or 2 more things about the layout but I still hate the way bookmarks work & I still prefer IE's toolbars on the whole.
What they've done is made it look like Chrome. IMO there was nothing wrong with the interface they just needed to work under the bonnet i.e. less memory, quicker, etc. It looks like it's wiped the floor with I.E's download count. I downloaded FF4 but I think I'll stick with 3.6 for the time being, until the wrinkles get ironed out.
Got two, one at work and one at home.
A bit odd. Really not sure I see the point in the tab grouping but hey ho, I guess some folks wanted it for...you know...something.
Got it this morning, absolutely love it - so much faster page loading!
I like the integrated "Firefox" button (as in Opera, and, possibly, Chrome - I've no idea, used it for 5 minutes months (years?) ago, didn't like it, never tried again) - didn't need the menu bar anyway.
The integrated tabs at the top were annoying (I keep my "Windowshade mode" Winamp there), but I've changed the tabs to vertical ones at the left anyway (as with Tab Kit, but it doesn't support FF4, so had to change to Vertical Tabs + Tab Scrolling).
Very happy with it![]()
Right, after accidentally opening the nth link in a new window rather than new tab because they removed "open" from the right click options, thereby moving the order of the commands on the said menu...I can declare....NOT AMUSED.
Changing context sensitive menu command locations is heresy you bastards. Be like me swapping the brakes and accelerator in your car as a "feature".
Edit and the shortcut for tab groupings is ctrl+shift+e, yet the one to nuke the entire app is crtl+shift+w....BAD MAPPING.
/old man rant.

I don't really see what being childish or not having work to do has to do with wanting to download FF? Besides, most people who download it won't even know about the counter, I didn't before I read about it here.
It's not like it was going to lose anyway, being multi-platform and considering a vast portion of I.E's users only use it because it's the default/because they think it's 'the Internet' and will only get the next version through Windows Update, if at all.
The bit I quoted explains it nicely.
Plus are people really choosing FF4 (with added memory leaks) over chrome/opera?
