What are you doing at present at sixth form?

Apologies if you said earlier, I may have missed it.

Applied for the media course last night!

I think the only thing I can really say is this. This will either be the best or worst decision of my life so far.

Re: Decision time - Education and career

In life people make good decisions, and then they also make bad decisions. Short of getting banged-up nothing is set in stone. Be wise enough to be honest with yourself as you go, and if you're stuck in something you don't like/your heart's not in/fancy a change in the future, then go for it. Equally be prepared to knuckle down and stick with something when it gets hard. Sadly whatever you do, there'll be Monday mornings, factors outside your control you don't like, and for most of us, pretty rubbish pay. As the CD shop says "suck it and see"

Good luck mate, and just think, you've avoided having to learn about laplace transforms, fourier analysis and sodding vector calculus.

Thanks man. I guess it's a flaw of mine, I'm always thinking "If only I'd chosen the other option." which is really bad to do as it messes with your mind! I'm just going to have to give this the best shot I can and try to not think about how things might have been had I gone with Engineering.

I know that it was said before. But you need to do what's good for you. Don't think about anything else and do you. Educate yourself to the max and find a great job that will provide good money for you and your family. I believe that people can accomplish anything if their mind is in a right place. I hope that everything will be well for you.

Re: Decision time - Education and career

It's awlays about a particular choice. And this decision may influence your life drastically.
I'm thinking about an online blah blah - flexible schedule in the **snip ** - that's important in my case, as I work full-time). I'm working in Germany already and I've 4 years of a software developer experience. Not sure if I need it for my career, but it's affordable, and I generally like online courses. Any opinions on this?
