yea, they mean fa when u get to sixth form, exept english which ive been told i need... anyway heres my results

as levels: (got these last week)
    Geography - U
    Business Studies - U
    ICT - D

    GCSEs: (got today)
    English retake - D

while disapointing its wot i expected as in geography we (inc teacher) just talked about tv all the time, i enjoyed it anyway. business studies was just too boring and dificult and i cba to do it. i shoulda got better in ICT but task 4 on the coursework about databases is wot was the hard bit, i h8 them! and im crap at english, got exactly the same last year
also if ur wondering y i only did 3 as levels, thatc cos 3/4 of my class were kicked outa maths because our teacher utter rubbishrubbishrubbishrubbishe and she knows alot about maths, but hasnt got a clue of how to make us understand it.

now im going to do a btec ND in electronics, should be fun and a tiny bit easyer, but i know theres alot of complicated maths that will make me fail

It's reassuring to hear so many people say that! All I've gotta do is get into sixth form, which I should do, and I'm fine.

My parents promised me a digital camera if I got at least 5 A-Cs. Dunno if I'll still get it seeing as I only got 4.

Well digital cameras arent too dear for a decent one so you may get lucky as long as they know what to look for.

They don't know much. My dad hasn't definately said no yet anyway but I'm not gonna keep going on about it, Lol.
I was gonna get a Canon A70 but changed my mind because of the lack of rechargable batteries, so was gonna go for the Olympu MJU300.

Universities will look at your GCSE results, (now) in addition to AS results to aid the selection process. I was 1 mark off one boundary and 2 marks off another boundary with my GCSE's but decided not to bother getting them remarked, luckily it didn't hinder me at all getting into uni.

Rogue - congrats on the fantastic results mate! What have you got planned? Cambridge? MIT? No. 10?

congrats to all - as long as you're happy with your results, and they reflect the amount of work that you put in, then the job's a good un

Yeah, most computing/sciences/mathematics teachers are the same. Ask Knox about our maths tutor at college... god, what a waste of space on the teaching front.

Coudlnt get along with him either, Very knowledgeable chap though.

why the hell do kids all get bribed for their GCSEs? I got nothing for my GCSEs, nothing for my AS levels and nothing for my A2 levels.

Being bribed to get good results is surely not good?... however maybe if i was bribed in my AS/A2s i might have done better...

    grumble... grumble... grumble...

Chin up, I got nothing either bunji. Wasn't bribed to do my exams, and got nothing other than a pat on the back afterwards, which ot be honest, is alot more rewarding than having some more cash in my pocket.

Rewarded myself after my exams this year though. Engraved hip flask arrived on thursday so went out in my hour off during a 15 hour working day to fill it with some beautiful single malt.

Can't complain about A-Lev maths teachers though, my two were brilliant. Because they were teaching further maths they had to know more than the other maths bods at my 6th form, who weren't up to their standard.
