apa = monkey really, but I guess you understood it then And yes, you've got it right.

Your next sentence to learn is: "Jag gillar rutten frukt."

I'll tell you what it means later on... and no moonshade and wberg (and KeZZeR), you won't say it now ether

TiG - It basicly means that you're an idiot. But the real meaning is "I have a monkeys brain!"

    "I like rotten fruit?"

Or possibly "I like rotten fear"

It's a little quirk I have, getting fruit and fear mixed up.
Doesn't happen too often in English though

Min flickvän kallade mig "aphjärna" när vi spelade korttar

    ^ That's supposed to read:
"My girlfriend called me 'monkey's brain' when we played cards."

Oh, I also make up words in Swedish too - for some reason I was totally convinced I'd heard the word "slöpnig" somewhere, and it meant "sleepy"

damn, you knew more swedish than I thought you did...

It's I like rotten fruit... frukt = fruit, rädsla = fear. Should be possible to seperate, not too simular really.

And only one correction, när vi spelade kort, not när vi spelade korttar, korttar sounds cute, but it doesn't exist as a word.

Anyways, it's nice to see that you've learnt some swedish, tis always fun to be able to teach people new things. Why did you try to learn swedish in the first place?

Played the online game Asheron's Call for about 18 months and a group of the people I hung out with were Swedish, and I just figured it would be a bit of fun to learn some phrases at first.

Running up to a giant ape-like thing in a group and yelling "slut! eller jag ska döda din horig rumpa!" would invariably make them cry laughing, as it was meant to be "hårig rumpa", but I'd only heard it over the phone

My girlfriend is Swedish too, and she's been giving me a little help whenever I wanted something translating.
It's really fun! But it's harder to learn a new language at 29 than it was when I was at school, heh.

Just put some effort in it and you'll learn it. It's fun to know an extra language... Don't use your age as an excuse
