What if everything cost three times as much as it should, ran for a fraction amount of time that you needed it to before running out of juice, worked for a fraction of time in the winter as they do in the summer & only lasted a few years before it needed a massive overhaul? Oh, and probably do as much damage to the environment then its equal energy twin? (dem batteries don't grow on trees ya know!)

Super capacitors and a small gas/diesel turbine engine to produce the power, running at it's most efficient speed only when needed. This would be be better in my opinion
