Ed Milliband on yesterday's union strkes

I'm not even going to state why I'm posting this, just watch it and make up your own mind.

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-13971770

It just strikes me as a massive facepalm. Just wanted to see what other people thought of this.

Re: Ed Milliband on yesterday's union strkes

    Is that a joke?

He makes one speech, and repeats the same thing over and over again. "Get round the negotiating table"... "it's wrong"... "reckless and provocative manner"

Surely he's not for real. Either that or I had the video on loop.

Re: Ed Milliband on yesterday's union strkes

I thought it was a joke too, but it's not. He repeats the same thing 5 times, completely ignoring the interviewer's questions. Makes a right idiot of himself if you ask me.

Re: Ed Milliband on yesterday's union strkes

In fairness this sort of thing happens quite often in politics, sadly the soundbite is more important than actully expressing your opinion and honestly answering interviewers questions.

For Ed Milliband in particular he has a incredibly thin tighrope to walk here, dont heavily criticize the unions who brought him to power but dont support them too much either as public opinion is too divided when polls query support for the strikes.

Re: Ed Milliband on yesterday's union strkes

lol he should have asked him who was going to win the David Haye or Wladimir Klitschko fight. Would have got the same response.

I read he had 3 PR people with him the whole time.

Re: Ed Milliband on yesterday's union strkes

Surely it falls under the business as usual category right? Avoid anything that might compromise your image/opinion, say something that pleases most, angers no one, targets the opposition and solves nothing at all?

If anything I applaud Mr Milliband's efforts to keep things simple and alert even the most distracted individual to how senseless and idiotic politics currently is. When these individuals speak (regardless of the party they support) I can't seem to avoid the feeling that I am being called an idiot, surely only one would be unable to see the B.S pouring out.
