Might have been better to post in a thread that wasn't three years old
Welcome to the forum anyways
I saw it was 1st June but didn't notice the year ( I am feeling so flustered now BB8 is underway).
Did'nt see 1 second of last years ritual dumbing the Nation down cheap tv and i plan on avoiding this years ! Its horrible that wherever you go you cant 100% avoid it but hey, we can do our best !!
Why are people so intrigued? I cannot fathom it. The first show had novelty (and perhaps potential) but that was about it.
Do we really live in a so called society whereby people will pay good money (i.e voting for people or not) to have their say about such trivia?
It really is just a big marketing scam but the muppets and chavs just keep on spending. It's made worse because those that are so insecure feel they must know something about the latest episode in inorder to feel "with it" as they gather around the water cooler.
I'd personally like to "execute each and every last one of you MF's that move" for the the remote control in order to switch to BB.
It's insidious pap. Grrrrrrr
"Reality is what it is, not what you want it to be." Frank Zappa. ----------- "The invisible and the non-existent look very much alike." Huang Po.----------- "A drowsy line of wasted time bathes my open mind", - Ride.
damm bb sucks! ban it already!!
I can't stand Big Brother, or any other "humiliation" television, where the point of the show seems to be to put people in situations they find uncomfortable or even deeply unpleasant.
How people are entertained by it is totally beyond me.
As per usual I'll be ignoring the whole BB circus, couldn't care less what bunch of weirdos they've scraped together this year. I've never watched it and never intend to.
Most the people who have been on BB are a waste of perfectly good skin imo. They do nothing notable to gain their celebrity other than existing (which is quite an achievement for some of them).
Totally agree with Free Thinker, it's just an excuse to throw people together who probably wouldn't mix in the real world and see the sparks fly.
didnt even know it was on till i saw my mum watching it on tv. and yes its boring now. stopped taking interest since 2004. the police are watching it too for any racism , maybe that will get it shut down? who knows
Thanks for bumping my thread from 2004. No need to re-write it at all as nothing has changed. BB is still a complete waste of breath, and I'll be having nothing to do with it this year if at all possible.
I'll see you all back here next year
Well enough is enough!
Not only has the most profoundly trashy television program ever created returned for yet ANOTHER year in this country, but this time around they have the audacity to exploit and butcher a classic vehicle, the Volkswagen Kombi.
Join with me in uniting and supporting the following petition:
We, The United Kombi Lovers Front of Australia (or is it The Australian Kombi Lovers Front?), wish to protest the cruel and callous torture of Volkswagen Kombis on the Australian version of Big Brother. It is bad enough that the network expects us to tolerate the incessant advertising featuring the arrogant and talentless Sydney-centric hosts (especially the reviled Kyle Sandilands) without expecting us to stand by while an innocent vehicle is brutally disfigured! We are disgusted that the program has chosen to promote itself by butchering a classic car, and call on Southern Cross Televison, Network Ten and the producers of Big Brother to remove the kombi from the show and ensure that it is restored to original condition. Such torture and cruelty cannot be tolerated! We will refuse to watch any programs on Network Ten (including, gasp, The Simpsons) until the brutality ends.
Stop the cruelty! Make your protest known and get a "Save the Kombi" tee shirt at redbubble.com/people/kombination. (I found these yesterday and couldn't resist, had to buy one! Hilarious! )
