    Official Hexus ANTI-Big Brother thread

    Well, it's here again.

This time, I'm going to see if I can exist in this country for the next ten weeks without learning anything about Big Brother. I don't intend to even learn the names of the muppets in the house. If a news item on Big Brother comes on I'll either change the channel or cover my ears and start singing.

I'm serious about this, I've had enough of this crap. I quite enjoyed the first Big Brother and I once sold a camera to Anna, the woman who came second in the first Big Brother, but it stopped being funny a long time ago. It's my intention to boycott any company who advertises during Big Brother, and I'm going to automatically go and do something fun any time a Big Brother broadcast comes on the tv.

Quite agree. I watched the first Big Brother, and it was class; very interesting, but now, it’s lost its shine, and I've no interest in watching Big Brother 78.

The idea is supposed to be seeing how (almost) normal people react to each other; what made the Nasty Nick stuff so interesting was that he was a normal bloke, who started playing to win. Now they are looking for people who might do something interesting, or throwing homophobes in with camp hairdressers, so we can see the reaction.

If the Yanks hadn't requested that he get his collar felt, they probably have stuck Abu Hamza in there, along with a Neo-Nazi, the widow of Rod Hull, a morbidly obese Dwarf, Siamese twins, one of which hates pasta, and the other of which survives only on pasta, and John Prescott.

Ironically, if they had done this, I'd watch it 24\7.

I can safely say we all would, Abu Hamza should be getting deported soon anyway

Putting John Prescott in there would be a good idea. keep his influence away from political situations for a bit!

At the end of the day mate, I actually know a few gay people IRL, homosexuality isn't really all that entertaining to me, I'm used to it.

Edit: Don't know any homophobes in fairness. Luckily (for them).

hmm lets all laugh at the expense of one's sexuality. The produces of this are gonna love it this time round. The ppl who have gone into big brother are now in a surreal atmosphere in a completely stupid enviroment.

The producers obviously want a fight out of it all, they are going to exploit these ppl in all ways possible. so while there are some "fisty cuffs" in the program the producers are gonna sit back and watch the ratings go up because too many ppl like watching it.

I cant see how this is entertaining. that d*ck head who stripped off 1st gave you a pretty good idea of whats to come. bloody childish "grown-ups" getting over excited cus they are on tv. what a bunch of t*ats.

    makes me cringe.

Have to say - I think the only interest in the show is realising what freaks are in it. (The other thread does not indicate my personal views.)

I've avoided watching a minute of Big Brother ever since I saw a glimpse of the first series and I am going to keep that up for as long as I'm alive.

During the week while I'm away from home the studio I rent has no tv....RESULT!!!!!....I won't even catch a glimpse of this trash by accident.

The producers must be getting desperate though judging by what has been said. Homophobes, homosexuals and mixed dormitories with double beds. The whole reality tv formula is old now. Should be called 'surreality tv'
