I would make a film about a book I read a while ago called "Consider Phlebas"...
Basically this bloke who's a shapechanger collects a bunch of mercs and goes to find a Mind that has buried itself on a moon somewhere, before The Culture finds it. Only he gets himself and most of the people (who are actually his Allies to start with) killed or seriously wounded...
Now the Cast....
it's have to be Russell Crowe to play Horza, the Shapeshifter... purely to the end that I get to kill him, and so I can write in the line [crowe accent]"I had the plans, But Perostek stole them..."[/crowe accent]
To Play Perostek Balveda (the Culture double agent).. Grace Jones... cos she's an doubleard Ninja beehatch
James Earl Jones could play the big alien mofo with 3 legs... cos he's a big lad, and has a cool voice...
Sean Bean as the mercenary captain.. cos he plays a bumbling, over-confident idiot quite convincingly (and I get to end him too)
and... and... ummm who for the Love Interest who survives despite all the odds??? I know...
Sigourney Weaver or Demi Moore.... both of them have played baldy women.... :D
