Spain threw it away really. Dominated and failed to capitalise.

Definately fancy Greece to go through with either Spain or Portugal!

If Greece win the group and England get through 2nd after France, then we play them in the Quarters.

So, more power to the Greeks.

"England ready but wary" "Sven-Goran Eriksson insists England will not take Switzerland lightly when they meet in Coimbra on Thursday."

Is anyone else fed-up of hearing this?

Because I am. I mean do we ever hear anything else? It seems like we could go up against the Monaco Under 11's, and the only response you'd hear would be, "Well, they're young, but have lots of energy, and their height could
cause some problems. We also need to recognise that they've had experience playing the U 16's, and held their own. We'll be confident, but cautious. We can't underestimate their talent."

Oh for someone to come out and say - "To be honest, we're going to win this one. I mean, they're an okay team, and if we stand around doing nothing they'll score, but the reality is, they're just not good enough to beat us."

    !

You have to think that of he dod say 'we will win' and then we happened to snatch or draw or even lose we would be calling him cocky and arrogant. A lot safer for his rep. to just say this whatver he is thinking.

I wouldn't say its a certainty England will beat Switzerland, they may play spoiling tactics and play for a boring 0-0 draw which puts England in deep s**t as they'll most probably need a win against Croatia to go through.

Scholes is fit and England are set to revert to the diamond formation, according to teletext anyhow, with Lampard in the holding position, Terry also set to come in for King.

    -----------------James----------------------
    G.Nev----Terry----Campbell----A.Cole

    ----------------Lampard-------------------

    -----Becks---------------------Gerard----

    ----------------Scholes-------------------

    -------Owen----------------Rooney-------

If they do play Diamond I think it will be a more attacking version with lampard pushing forward at most oppurtunities. I would like to think that Campbell/Terry/Neville will be able to cope with their strikers. They didnt look up to much in the first game.
