Rules
1. If anyone tries to abuse the system they will be banned. No second chances, no excuses, just banned.
2. All complaints or issues with ratings to be sent via private message to the moderator of the forum. No public slagging matches or rule 1 will be invoked
3. Whilst we would prefer that the reputation system is used primarily for positive feedback we appreciate that it is a useful tool for negative feedback as well. There are no set guidelines for when to use the reputation system for negative feedback but we would ask that common sense and maturity are applied. Some examples of appropriate use include
  • Someone attempting to incite a flame war
  • Someone spamming in a forum
  • Someone consistently trying to lead a thread off topic

If you are in any doubt about whether to apply negative feedback then don't do it. Contact the mod team for guidance

Guidelines
You can rate a person as by clicking the little blue icon which looks like this underneath their name. From there you can elect to approve or disapprove of the member and add some comments. The reputation system works as follows

  • Default User Reputation - 10 points
  • Your reputation changing power starts at 1 i.e. any rating you make adds or subtracts 1 point from a user's score. Your power increases as follows
    • 1 extra point for every 365 days you remain a registered user
    • 1 extra point for every 1000 posts
    • 1 extra point for every 100 reputation points
  • You must have a minimum of 50 posts before your reputation ratings have any effect
  • You must have a reputation of at least 10 before your reputation ratings have any effect
  • You can only give 10 reputation ratings in a 24 hour period
  • You must give a rating to 20 other users before you can rate the same person again
