    the-online-homebrew-company warning

    Hi everyone,

Got a warning for you all about this company, they are very big, and very bad from my experience. Ordered a bunch of stuff on the 27th October, I expected it to arrive on the Monday or Tuesday, so Tuesday after waiting all day I checked the account to see one item was out of stock and delayed the order till Nov 7th :O , they hadn't emailed me until the 3rd to inform me of this so lucky I checked.

So I emailed the company via their in site enquiry form (they only have this and facebook for contact) the company replied on the 4th saying they would pass on my request of changing the item or something else to the relevant person, well this hasn't happened, so here we are on the 7th of October, nothing has arrived and it still says awaiting dispatch.

So during this whole event as well as today I have been posting comments on their facebook wall posts asking them when they will sort it, well today after my sixth post was removed by them, they actually blocked me from posting on their facebook (nice customer experience ey?). So I decided to twitter them, also removed, so I spent about an hour sending all the ways I could communicate to them to cancel all my orders as I wanted nothing to do with a company so corrupt to remove negative feedback and issues.

Surprise surprise no replies, and now we are out of hours, so likely they will just ignore my request send the order out tomorrow and I will get it on the 9th, so 27th till the 9th to send something from Essex (and yes for anyone interested, all items showed as in stock when I ordered).

Honestly in future I wont deal with a company that doesn't have email and phone support even if they are big and popular.

Refuse to accept the delivery and cancel the credit card payment authorisation

how do I do this? what kind of number on natwests say no to 0870 page should I be looking for, not fraud surely?

Also will it matter that it left the account so long ago i.e the 27th, as one is on my credit card one on the debit more recently.

    Re: the-online-homebrew-company warning

Lesson to learn here, never deal with a company online that doesn't publish it's address and telephone number (preferably not an 084, 087 or 09 number).

Not much help to the OP right now, but I feel your annoyance. There are too many companies out there who take the mickey these days, despite the economy we are in.

Im confused as on others places they have massive good feedback, I currently have like £70 in the company, I can get it back via natwest but itll take like a month if I am unlucky.

Hopefully they are just crap sometimes and not a con.

    Re: the-online-homebrew-company warning

one order is on the way and the other is refunded, got away lucky this time I think.

    UPDATE-----

NM might have been speaking to early, the in company tracking site says on its way and gives a DHL code, the dhl code comes up as negative on DHL own site... sigh this company really is the worst, I am pretty determined to kick this company where it hurts, any ideas?

Ecommerce offence if trading online and they aren't displaying a valid address.

    Hi,

Glad to hear that I am not the only person duped by this idiot and criminal company. I am out of pocket £60 and also blocked on facebook. What a dishonest bunch of crooks. Luckily my bank (Clydesdale) is going to recover the money through their fraud department. Hopefully that will cost them dearly!

    Re: the-online-homebrew-company warning

I have to add my own warning about this company - they've got my money too and refuse to communicate.

For some reason the company has wonderful reviews at TrustPilot but when I try to add my own review I'm blocked by a message saying "The Online Shopping Company can only be reviewed with a valid personal review validation code." Perhaps TrustPilot is also dodgy?

Greetings, ANOTHER WARNING about the online brewing company
I had to wait more than the 28 days for delivery, I did eventually get exactly what I ordered, and saved about £10 but the massive waste of time spent checking my account and the seemingly random nature of "in stock" "out of stock" "in transit" was infuriating.
    I don't recommend this company.

They've got upto 30 days to deliver the goods though unless any other time was agreed as per Distance Selling Regulations. Not sticking up for them, just pointing out what the legislation states.
