My Updated Weight Loss! – With Pictures!

Just an update from when I posted about 10 months ago.

    (UPDATED ON 30th June 2004)

I have now gone from being 23 stone 1 pound to 15 stone 3 and a half pounds. My target is 14 stone 7 pounds, which I hope to achieve in the next 2 months. I’m 6 foot 3 inches and of big build so that weight should be fine for me. It’s been a long haul but it’s properly the only thing I have ever been proud of about myself, I’m my biggest critic 90% of the time and I must say I feel good about myself and completely different!! As many of you will know I’m doing the slimming world diet and last week in class I was awarded my seven and a half stone award. I only need five more pounds to gain my 8 stone loss award which I’m working hard to get before I go and visit my parents in Portugal during August. I have had lost of support and the encouragement of others mainly my girlfriend support, which has been critical to my success, the down side is I have become a shopaholic for clothes, but hey I can live with that…

So anyone else here plugging away at weight loss or want to? Am I the only man that diets! Cos all the others in my class are ladies ! J

Here are some pics! Sorry I’m feeling very proud right now!

I would post some before and after of me, i only needed to lose 4 stone. I went from 12 and a half to about 9 and a quarter. I did a lot of slim fast dieting and it was the worst kind of diet you could do. Horrible tasting foods etc.

I also did a diet where you eat specified foods in specified amounts for 5 days every 2 weeks. It makes you lose loads of weight.

Now i just do loads of fitness to keep the weight down and i'm very chuffed with myself for managing to lose it.

Now i've said all that i can't imagine what you've had to go through and you must be extremely proud of yourself 'cause you did so well! You look really really good now compared to the before pictures!

Never been a fan of these diets, seen mates go through a few and within a few weeks they are back on the 400 pints of beer and a box of pork scratchings Congrats though mate you stuck to it and you can see the obvious achievement, personally I hammer the weight bench daily working out everything, just for exercise though I ain't trying to be one of thoe multi muscle on muscle body builders, shudders at the thought of it :E

yeah i diet's can do two things 1. make you lose weight 2. Help you change the way you look at food. i have done a number two! - when i ifinsh this diet i will need to maintain high exercise levels and stay well away from foods that i know are bad!! i have changed a lot and without thinking for example i would cut the fat off the bacon, and always buy the 'light' or 'diet' versions! you have to change your diet not just lose weight as a quick fix

An example for all of us who need to lose weight. I need to shed about 3 stone. (I did it before to pass my current jobs medical - then put it back on ). Trouble is I like me tipple.

Feel proud fella - you deserve it!
