TV star Leslie Ash may never walk again. Doctors have reportedly told the Men Behaving Badly actress there is a 50-50 chance of recovery after she was struck by down by a hospital superbug. The News of the World says the nerves of her spine may have been damaged beyond repair.
The 44-year-old caught the bug nine weeks ago while she was being treated for injuries she said she received during rough sex with husband Lee Chapman, a former footballer.
Leslie is being treated in a private £700-a-night London hospital, where friends say she is pale and gaunt and is hooked up to a catheter, with no feeling in her lower body.
They tell the paper she has a bluish-white tinge and has lost almost three stone.
One friend said: "She is going to be in hospital for months and months until there is an outcome. Leslie has loads of time to think, and she keeps worrying that she will never walk or work again."
