Ok but another thing i dont get from the email is, he is asking for total price inc shipping, now no1 has bid on the phone yet? so technically i could say any total price? unless he is asking for a" buy now " price thing, but still, doing that goes againsts ebays rules right? :S

Leave it, tell him (politely) to bid for it like everyone else, otherwise you are leaving yourself open to be stiffed.

Try him out, quote a price way over what you thinks its worth, but not too much over, then see if he accepts... then add on shipping and see if he still likes the idea... very likely he'll go for it as this all smells very dodgy....

hmm i would never post abroad, too many scamsters

i normally wait till ebay completes, but i sold a phone recently and this guy offered me (he was in the uk) to pay upfront a cheque for 130inc, where i was really only hoping for 110-120 so i was ok

got the cheque fine, and waited a good 5 days to make sure it didnt bounce, so saving ebay fees and getting some more to save him time was good, but id be careful there ARE scams out there so be careful

Will probably ask to pay by money transfer or some other method that he can trick you into thinking he's paid up. Proceed with caution!

Do you have a method for taking credit cards? If so, you'll be ok.

If you make sure you've got the money in the bank before you do anything you should be ok. If you take this route it's probably worth giveing him some extortionalte price - just to try your luck and see if he pays it

But as a noob, I'd just tell him to bid like everybody other ebayer out there.

Sounds exactly like a number of scams I've seen before. He's in Singapore, a P900 probably costs about half the U.K. price over there, why the hell would he want to pay over the odds to get one sent from England?

Don't deal with him - he will be using a stolen credit card, and the money can be clawed back from you, leaving you without a phone and without the moolah.
Unless he is willing to use a money gram service like Western Union - that way you get the cash (though someone could still be losing money from their CC )

This is a scam, leave it as it's not worth the risk.

I'm sure I've seen on e-bay or paypal that Singapore is excluded from any protection.
