    ebay are a sucky monopoly. they charge too much for listing, charge too much in the paypal fees (now owned by ebay), and then tell us we can't get the paypal fees off the person wanting to use paypal...

    me and a lot of other ebayer's (that sell) have stopped accepting paypal as a result - i get people to either do a bank transfer (free, and the money ends up in my account quicker than if it had gone through paypals accounts, where it earns interest for paypal/ebay), or they can pay cash directly into my account at a local branch of my bank - this is free and instant! (so it can be posted just as quick as if they had used paypal)...

    Can you list that as a legitimate payment option? If so I'll do that next time, It'll save me a lot of effort.

    yeah of course you can, you're the seller, it's up to you what payment you accept. there's sellers out there that *only* accept cheques! (which is rather inflexible - but people still buy stuff from them).

    I personally think PayPal is excellent. It saves a great deal of hassle. I hate having to deal with cheques (both when buying and selling)... They're such an inconvenience. Instant payment is the way forward.

    I would use Direct Bank Transfer when buying if my bank's website let me though
