Well, not robbed exactly, but I thought I'd have a quick look around Play.com for a few DVDs, and ended up spending £169 before I knew where I was. Damn those cheap prices and free delivery.
Got the following lot ordered from Play, apart from the first, as the same boxed set was avalible for £17 cheaper on DVD.co.uk
Star Trek: The Next Generation Season 2, Boxed Set.
The Blue Planet, Boxed Set.
Jonathan Creek Season 1&2, Boxed Set.
Back to the Future Trilogy, Boxed Set.
Happy Tree Friends Vol 1 - First Blood.
Blackadder Series 3.
Blackadder Series 4.
Snatch.
Young Guns.
Silent Running.
Some big boxed sets, with nice long running times to really get my teeth into (well, my eyes), been meaning to collect the Star Trek: Next Gen boxed sets for ages, got the first one, so now they are going for £40 I thought I'd get a collection going. I remember sitting glued to the TV when the Blue Planet was on; some amazing stuff. Add in some quality comedy, and a few good movies and I'm good to go. Oh, and Silent Running, which I thought I'd get to watch again after all these years. (See 'Titty Baby Bunting' thread )
So, what you reckon? Money well spent? Have I the taste of kings, or the taste of someone who thinks 'My Family' is funny?
Anyone else fall for the Play.com and DVD.co.uk cheap prices trick, and end up spending a pretty penny?
